I worked on large-scale enterprise and IoT-driven systems at the core of billing, metering, and building management. My role combined software engineering, system architecture, and full project ownership, often in close collaboration with business, accounting, and field teams. I contributed to both long-term strategic platforms and high-impact operational solutions used daily by customers and internal teams.

One of the most impactful initiatives was the Automatic Meter Management (AMM) system. This large-scale IoT platform collected consumption data from thousands of meters via radio gateways and GSM/GPRS networks and synchronized it with the billing system. I designed the database architecture, implemented web services and synchronization layers, installed and configured servers, and ensured end-to-end reliability. While similar rollouts in other countries took around two years, the Belgian implementation reached production in just eight months—the fastest deployment within the group.

I played a key role in enterprise web platforms, including ISITOP2020, a web application for browsing and analyzing building portfolios. These projects involved designing scalable backend services, modern web interfaces, and secure data access using .NET technologies. I consistently focused on performance, maintainability, and clarity for both end users and administrators.

To support operations and data quality, I also developed internal tools such as a web-based AMM console for administrative teams and data mining components capable of detecting abnormal consumption patterns or device issues. These solutions helped prevent billing errors and improved proactive maintenance. In parallel, I delivered automation tools, internal web toolkits, and reporting utilities to support technical and commercial teams.

A significant part of my work focused on data-driven and algorithm-based systems. I developed error management platforms that automatically detected device anomalies, reducing manual intervention and improving reliability. I also designed and delivered Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions that provided customers with billing and invoicing data through APIs and structured files, following detailed requirement analysis with accounting and billing departments.

Beyond development, I frequently acted as a project lead and facilitator. I was responsible for ERP and PDA integrations, data architecture design, training field technicians and administrative staff, writing documentation, and coordinating testing, validation, and verification. I also participated in international initiatives such as the Butterfly project, involving ERP migration to corporate platforms (SAP, billing and planning systems), gap analysis across countries, process definition, and end-user training.

I modernize critical platforms. I led authentication and user management migration to Keycloak, upgraded legacy .NET Framework applications, and contributed to the NextGen web portal built with modern .NET and Blazor. I also supported the transition to standardized CI/CD and cloud-native tooling, including Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, containerization, and automated deployments, aligning ISTA systems with corporate DevOps and security standards.
